In June we brought you the story of Andrew Broomhead who celebrated his 50th Birthday by completing the “3 Peaks Challenge” in the United Kingdom. He used his achievement to raise funds for ISF’s children. Since then funds have continued to be received and in September, Andrew presented ISF’s Country Manager, Kate Griffin, with a cheque for a phenomenal US$72,000 towards our new school project!
In order to make our Stung Meanchey Education Centre more sustainable and stable, ISF are in the process of purchasing some land and will build a new education centre to reduce the risk created when renting premises. We have been extremely fortunate to find a sponsor to fund the cost of the land and Andrew’s contribution
will go a long way towards the building costs.
In honour of his contribution and achievement, ISF will acknowledge this donation with a plaque at our new Education Centre which is expected to be completed in
2013.
