Peter ChurchChairman
Peter Church is an international lawyer and business adviser who has lived and worked in the South East Asian region for more than 20 years. Peter advises a varied group of major Australian and international companies in relation to their Asian investment and trading activities. He was for many years President of the Australia Indonesia Business Council and sat on numerous Australian Federal Government Boards such as the Trade Policy Advisory Committee. Peter was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 1994 for his services to the promotion of business relations between Australia and the South East Asian region.
Leo BroganLeo Brogan began working in the accountancy profession in 1975 and has worked in the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. He provides a range of specialist advice to his clients, especially in the areas of private client work using company and trust structures, where he can provide both financial and managerial advice.
Leo has an array of professional and industry qualifications including a Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Laws, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, as well as a Registered Company Auditor.
Leo is married with two children who both love their football!
As Chairman of the ISF Football Committee, Leo oversees the development and running of the football sponsorship programme which currently (2010) provides weekly training to 2,500 children (from 23 non-government organisations), run annual boys and girls tournaments and now a weekly football league.
He acts as trustee of Pacific Foundation and Pacific Necessitous Fund and is an active member of Legacy Australia.
Michael Brogan Michael Brogan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Michael was a partner in a firm of chartered accountants for 14 years and has over 20 years experience as a senior executive in international and domestic banking. Michael is a former senior executive director of the FirstRand Banking Group. He is the immediate past Chairman of FirstRand International Limited and the RMB Australia Group. Michael is the non-executive Chairman of AWA Limited, a non-executive director of Oceania Capital Partners Limited (OCP), Chair of the OCP Audit and Risk Committee and Chairman of the Arts and Health Foundation. Michael is a director of the Indochina Starfish Foundation (Australia) Limited and a trustee of the Indochina Starfish Foundation (UK). Michael has extensive domestic and international business experience in the areas of strategic business development, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, audit, compliance and risk management.
Neil CutlerAfter graduating from the University of NSW in Sydney, Neil Cutler embarked on a business career which over a period of 30 years has encompassed the finance, precious metal & electronics industries as well as not-for-profit organisations operating in social welfare and medical research. He has lived and worked in six countries and has been known to speak fluent Pidgin English.
Neil holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, and the Institute of Chartered Directors. He is also a Justice of the Peace.
Neil is Chairman of the Mosman/Lane Cove division of Sydney Legacy, is a former Chairman of Scouts Australia NSW and actively supports the social service organisations: The Red Cross, The Salvation Army and The Smith Family.
As a Director and Secretary of Indochina Starfish Foundation (Australia) Limited, Neil has facilitated ISF’s registration as a charity in Australia and assisted in the establishment of several aid projects in Cambodia. He and his wife Louise visit Phnom Penh regularly to assist these projects and attend ISF football tournaments.
Andromeda DuncanAndromeda holds Bachelors of Commerce and Law (First Class Honours) from the University of Sydney. She is a lawyer with over 7 years experience in the corporate, commercial and mining areas. Andromeda currently holds the position of Business Development Counsel for an ASX Top 200 Company where she is involved in both promoting the business development activities of the company worldwide, particularly in Indonesia, South Africa, USA and China, and also as corporate counsel. Andromeda’s interests are community, family, friends, travelling and the outdoors.
Daniela ShannonDaniela has degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Sydney and practiced as a solicitor from 1972 to 1982 in a firm she founded. Daniela was an elected Councillor of Botany City Council from 1974 to 1977. In 1982 she moved to Hong Kong with her husband. In Hong Kong Daniela was a Board member of Kellett School, President of the Ladies Recreation Club, Chairman of the Fund Raising Committee of Helping Hand (a not-for-profit organization that develops and operates homes for the aged) and then Chairman of the Board of Helping Hand. During her time with Helping Hand where she was involved with financing, construction and operation of 9 homes, housing approximately 800 elderly people. In 1997 Daniela returned to Sydney. She served as a member and then President of the Darling Point Society and chaired the Finance Committee of St. Joseph’s Parish Edgecliff. Daniela has various active business interests in the hospitability and construction industries. She is married with three children and three grandchildren.
Daniela is the Australian representative on the ISF Fundraising Committee.
